The journey by car is the easiest way, also because of the lately finished motorway A20, which connects Kühlungsborn with the population centres Berlin and Hamburg. A journey from the Scandinavian countries should happen over Lübeck or Rostock.

If you start your holiday from Hamburg or Lübeck, drive on the new motorway A20 until the exit 12 Kröpelin.


From there you drive 28 kilometres straight through Kröpelin to Kühlungsborn.
Entering on the 'Schlosstraße' drive over the first large crossroads to the end of the street( before it passes over into the 'Strandstraße'). Then 10 metres after the crossing rails turn left into the 'Neue Reihe'. Following this street to its end alongside the edge of a forest and after 2200 metres turn right into the 'Poststraße'. After 150 metres turn left into the 'Tannenstraße', after 100 metres turn left again into the 'Waldstraße' and after a further 400 metres you will arrive at the house.
If you miss one of the street signs, just follow the signs to the 'Ostseeklinik' which is also in the 'Waldstraße'.

If you start in Berlin drive on the motorway A19 and change before Rostock to the motorway A20 with the direction Lübeck and take the exit 13 Bad Doberan/ Schwaan.

You can also take the exit 12 Kröpelin( then as described above).
From the exit Bad Doberan follow the signs through Hanstorf and Hohenfelde into Bad Doberan. Arriving there drive over the crossing B105 and keeping right follow the main street until the main bus station appears on your right. Further 150 metres on the left the street goes to Heiligendamm/Kühlungsborn.

On the left you will soon see the rails of the 'Molli-Rail', which will accompany you to a circle. From there straight ahead you will come through the town Bollhagen straight into the 'Doberaner Straße' to Kühlungsborn Ost. Shortly after the town entrance of Kühlungsborn follow the sign 'Rerik/Zentrum-West' and turn left into the 'Cubanzestraße'. Following it to the end you will come to the 'Strandstaße' in which you will turn slightly left.(CAUTION: the 'Molli-Rail' crosses!) After 200 metres turn right into the 'Neue Reihe' ( sign 'Ostseeklinik'). Follow it alongside the town-forest to the end and turn after 2200 metres right into the 'Poststraße'. After 150 metres turn left into the 'Tannenstraße', after 100 metres turn left again into the 'Waldstraße' and after further 400 metres you will arrive at the house. If you miss one of the street signs, just follow the signs to the 'Ostseeklinik' which is also in the 'Waldstraße'.



Journey from Scandinavia via Rostock

From Rostock you will get over the motorway B105 and the exit Bad Doberan after 30 kilometres to Kühlungsborn.
The motorway B105 connects the Baltic cities Stralsund, Rostock, Wismar and Lübeck. Kühlungsborn is connected through three country roads (Bad Doberan, Kröpelin, Neubukow) with the motorway B105.
